Photos of $19.9 million Atlanta mansion on sale
The most expensive home currently on the market in Metro Atlanta is turning into quite the movie star.
The once-$25 million home at 490 West Paces Ferry Road in Atlanta was the site of "The Three Stooges" filming last week and is already known for its role in the 2009 film "Zombieland," which filmed extensively in the Atlanta area. The mansion's crazy-cool pool was featured in January on HGTV's "Million Dollar Rooms."
The asking price for the mansion has dropped to $19.9 million, which is still the most expensive home for sale within 50 miles of Atlanta. The home has nine bedrooms and 11 bathrooms with a lot size of 2 to 3 acres. It was built in 2008.
From the website at Sotheby's Atlanta Fine Homes: "Ideal for lavish entertaining, this private resort features seven full kitchens, two gyms, a ballroom, recording studio, hair salon, nail salon, wellness center, cigar room and a theater." It also mentions the enormous "breath-taking courtyard pool" that caught the fancy of HGTV.
The home is considered a single-family home built for entertainment, said listing agent Mark Bhaggan with Sotheby's Atlanta Fine Homes.
Atlanta photographer Andrew Snook said "Stooges" has been filming at the mansion for at least a week. The movie started filming in Cartersvillle during the second week of May. Snook took exclusive early photos of the actors in their "Stooges" get-up. "Three Stooges" is an anticipated remake by the Farrelly Brothers.

In the cult comedy classic "Zombieland," the mansion is the Hollywood home of Bill Murray, who had a surprise cameo in the film. Hookedonhouses.net has some cool movie shots of the mansion juxtaposed against the listings.
